Starting in 2024, Private sector companies with 20-49 employees across 12 economic sectors need to hire at least one UAE citizen in 2024 which will increase to two in 2025.
Starting in 2022, establishments in the private sector with 50 or more employees are required to achieve a 2% increase annually in Emiratization for skilled jobs and to achieve an overall 10% growth by 2026.

Non-compliant companies will have to pay an amount of AED 6,000 monthly, starting from January 2023, for every citizen who has not been employed.
